Everyday in the news we see the rising cost of energy as the headline story.  Consumers are becoming increasingly concerned over the price of heating oils and propane they may see next winter.  At H. John Davis, we share that concern and have some information available that should help.
First, the skyrocketing cost of energy is caused by many factors, both national and international, none of which we can control.  What we can control is how much energy we consume and how you can pay for that product.

At H. John Davis we strongly recommend the budget payment plan for all customers.  Our budget plan is designed for 11 monthly payments, July to May, and we can even include the cost of the service contract in the payment. The budget payment allows you to build up a credit before the heating season begins, and you don't have to worry about the number of deliveries you receive in the winter.  Additionally, we offer price protection that protects you against a significant spike in the price of product during the heating season.

Second, we strongly recommend that the heating equipment you are currently using is operating at peak efficiency.  We offer service on oil and propane heating equipment that can bring that equipment to it's optimum operating efficiency.  At today's energy costs, an increase in 5% operating efficiency, can be a savings of up to $300.00.  We suggest that you have your heating system tuned up before the next heating system begins, you'll be glad you did!
Third, if your heating system is over 15 years old, think about replacing that system with a high efficiency oil or gas furnace or boiler.  The advances in heating technology have been truly remarkable in the last few years.  Efficiency ratings of 95% are not uncommon on gas and oil units available today.  Although the initial cost may appear high, the energy savings, at $4.00+ per gallon, has shortened the pay back period substantially.  We carry a wide range of both oil and gas heating equipment, and we would be happy to provide you with a no cost estimate on what an upgrade would cost.  Call us today for more information.
